Mentor Training

Kidz Connected Website

You will need to use the Kidz Connected website in order to enter your Weekly Student Update each week.

 

You can access the website either on a computer, tablet, or phone by opening your web browser and going to https://www.kidzconnected.org.

At the top of the website, click on the Mentor Log In link and sign in using your email address and password.  Once you are logged in, you will see your name and a drop-down arrow.  Click on the drop-down arrow to see options only available for mentors.

The drop-down will contain the following areas:

  • Events

    • All important calendar events can be found on this calendar

  • ​Weekly Student Update

    • Select your name from the drop-down list of “Mentor Name” and enter all of the information on the form.  Then click the Submit button at the bottom of the form.

    • Please fill this form out even if you attempted to visit the student and they were out sick.  Simply place the words “out sick” in the comments.

  • Ideas for Mentoring

    • Select a section for ideas and suggestions as to what and how to mentor your student in these different areas

  • Training

    • Read each page in the training taking notes along the way as you wish.  Click the button on each page to advance to the next page.  When complete, you will sign-off and click a Submit button.

  • Create App Link

    • If you would like an icon on your Android phone or iPhone that will take you directly to the Kidz Connected website, just follow the instructions on this page to set that up

  • Outside Event Permission​

    • This will open a browser tab with our permission slip to be used when inviting a student to an event outside of the normal Kidz Connected events.  Kidz Connected must be notified prior to actually inviting the student or sending the permission slip home.​
